ODNR Portable Timber Bridge Rental
Jefferson SWCD, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, is happy to host one of eight portable logging bridges throughout Ohio. The Jeffeson County bridge is a 40 foot span, consisting of three (3) individual four (4) foot sections.
Graciously, DeNoon Lumber houses the bridge at their Bergholz Facility where they will load and unload the bridge for renters.
Jefferson SWCD is handling all of the rental agreements and scheduling. The specifics of the agreement are linked below, but reach out to Crystal Conaway today if this would fit into your logging plans.
Costs
Deposit: $500 (non-refundable)
Weekly Rate: $100

We are located one mile north of Bergholz, OH on State Route 164.
From the Wheeling Area
- Take Route 7 North to Steubenville.
- In Steubenville take US 22 West towards Cadiz.
- Take the Wintersville - Carrollton Rt. 43 exit, turn Right towards Carrollton.
- Follow Route 43 N. to Amsterdam.
- In Amsterdam take Rt 164 N for 5 miles to Bergholz and DeNoon Lumber.
From Cleveland OH
- 77 S. to Canton
- Take 30 E. to 43 S. to Amsterdam
- At the stop sign turn left on to 164 N.
- Go 5 miles to Bergholz.
From Pittsburg PA.
- Take 22 W. to 43 N. to Amsterdam.
- Take 164 N., go 5 miles to Bergholz.
From Youngstown OH.
- Take 11 S. to the Lisbon exit.
- Turn right on 154 W. to Lisbon.
- In Lisbon follow 164 Ss. to Bergholz.
From Columbus OH.
- Take 70 E. to 77 N. to New Philadelphia exit.
- Turn right onto 39 E. To Carrollton.
- Take 43 S. to Amsterdam.
- At the stop sign turn left on to 164 N.
- Go 5 miles to Bergholz.
